CV is nothing else as a measure that leads you to your aim, which it to obtain an invitation for a job interview, and a job offer as a result. Of course this cannot be any job offer, but the best possible. A well prepared CV will allow you to differentiate from many other candidates.

Also weaknesses may be presented in the CV in such a way that they become strong sides. Simply present them as something necessary in your path to the aim. They will act for your benefit.

If you prepare an effective CV, which will look professionally and describe you as a proper person for this positions, it will guarantee you with an invitation for a job interview. This is its task, it is just to cause that the interviewer wants to meet you. A covering letter is a useful tool here as well.

Thanks to the job interview, you can explain your employer why he should hire you, what your assets are, and how they will be translated into success of the company. During the interview, you may find out whether you want to work for the company or no. A job interview is another stage on the path leading to a job offer. In this sense, its purpose is to encourage the employer to provide you with employment. After the performed job interview, it is a good practice to send acknowledgments to the person that conducted it.
